How to set up the Bancontact Pro sticker solution
Setting up your Bancontact Pro sticker solution is quick and easy. This guide helps you get started once your account is activated.

Get started
Wait for your account to be activated
As soon as your Bacontact Pro account has been activated, you will receive a welcome email at the address you registered with. Depending on current demand, this can take up to five working days.
Set up a password
Do this by using the email invitation or by clicking "Forgot password" at https://portal.bancontactpro.com. Enter the email you used when registering and follow the steps.
Print your temporary QR code
You don't have to wait for the postman to start accepting payments. While your welcome pack is on its way, you can print a temporary QR code via the Bancontact Pro portal:
- Log in and go to ‘QR codes’ in the side menu.
- Select the correct shop and the corresponding product from the dropdown menu.
- Select the language in which you want to display your QR code sticker.
- Download the PDF, print it, and display it where customers can scan it easily.
Display your official stickers
Your welcome pack should arrive within 10 working days. It includes your official Bancontact Pro QR sticker and a window sticker. Place these prominently at your checkout or entrance so customers know they can pay mobile with Bancontact Pay or their bank app.
Make a test payment
To make sure everything works as it should, test out your QR code. Scan the QR with the Bancontact Pay app or your bank app, enter a small test amount and confirm the payment as a customer would.
Once the transaction is complete, log in to your Bancontact Pro portal to check that the payment appears immediately in your transaction overview. If you see the transaction listed there, you are ready to start accepting mobile payments!
How it works for you
The process is designed to be seamless:
- The customer scans your sticker using the Bancontact Pay app or their bank app.
- They enter the amount and confirm.
- Instant confirmation: you will see the transaction appear immediately in your Bancontact Pro portal.
- Daily payouts: All your daily transactions are grouped and paid out to your bank account the following business day.

- Bookmark the Bancontact Pro portal: Keep the Bancontact Pro portal open on your smartphone or tablet to track your payments in real time.
- Customise your QR: If you sell a single product at a fixed price (like a coffee or a fixed entry fee), you can set up a fixed amount and/or a fixed description or message for your QR code in the portal so customers don't have to type anything in.
- Easy reconciliation: Use the portal's download feature to export transaction lists for your accounting – no more manual tallying at the end of the day.
